Freak

The Freak models are characterised by their unconventional design, which goes without a classic dial, hands or crown. The design is clearly subordinate to the sophisticated functions. The centrepiece of the design is the movement, which simultaneously serves as the time display. The minute hand is represented by a mobile part of the movement, while a rotating disc underneath marks the hours. This unusual concept gives the watches an unmistakable visual dynamic, which contrasts excitingly with the rigid and solid case and the strong lugs. A remarkable design that has been emphasised particularly impressively in the Ulysse Nardin Freak One, which is why it is so coveted by collectors. 

Technologically, the Ulysse Nardin Freak has been setting new standards since its launch. Some of the watches make do without a conventional crown and are instead wound and set via the caseband. The highly complex manufacture calibres were specially developed for the slim design and can also be admired through the glass case on the back. The use of silicon-technology in the escapement and other movement components is also groundbreaking, making the models particularly precise and durable. With that, the brand heralded the silicon era in watchmaking. 

The collection includes various models in different sizes. The Ulysse Nardin Freak S represents the pinnacle of technological finesse, while the Freak X offers a more accessible version of the iconic design. All variants remain true to the avant-garde philosophy of the selection and are available in titanium, rose gold, gold or a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) coated version.
