In 2014, the Astronomia catapulted the then up-and-coming brand to the top of haute horlogerie with two built-in patents: the "three-axis gravity tourbillon" and the "Jacob cut diamond" with 288 facets.  

The 18-karat rose gold case, modelled after an astronomical observatory, is a real eye-catcher: the sapphire dome on top and the recesses on the edge of the case invite you to gaze at the galaxy inside. The dial is made of sparkling aventurine, representing the depth of the night sky. On top of this is a masterful four-axis construction à la Jacob & Co.  

Each arm carries one of four elements: the revolutionary tourbillon, a movable magnesium globe with continents stylized in white gold, the one-carat Jacob cut diamond, and a skeletonized time display. Each arm also rotates in or around itself, contributing to a fascinating spectacle that seems to defy gravity. At the same time, this movement serves to continuously wind the watch—an ingenious and aesthetically outstanding composition that captivates everyone. 

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Regulator 

Jacob & Co. also shines with the Astronomia Regulator, featuring innovative details that are as stunning as they are intricate, making this model stand out from the rest. Instead of a four-axis construction, it has a three-armed rotating base on which a skeletonized hour and minute display and a tourbillon are mounted. A sophisticated mechanism prevents the two dials from turning upside down due to the rotational movement. A golden hand protrudes from the base of the pedestal, fixed at 6 o'clock and pointing to a domed, translucent ring—the seconds display. This is another spectacular highlight of the Jacob & Co. Astronomia Regulator: it rotates once every 60 seconds and can be read precisely at any time thanks to the golden hand.
