Antarctique

The collection owes its name to an Antarctic trip taken by one of the Maison’s shareholders and symbolizes the brand's commitment to more sustainable production: It's not just about using recycled platinum for the rotor. It's also about protecting other irreplaceable assets, such as the many Swiss craftsmen who are dedicated to the traditional art of watchmaking, explains Xavier de Roquemaurel, CEO of Czapek & Cie. 

The watches in the Antarctique collection are known for their strikingly angular design. The slim, integrated stainless steel bracelet flows seamlessly into the distinctive case, and the overall design plays with the interplay of satin-finished and highly polished surfaces. Depending on the model, the dials impress with elaborate guilloché patterns, cuts, or the finest materials such as mother-of-pearl. The minimalist indices and classic sword hands underscore the sporty, elegant look. With a size of 40.5 millimeters, or 38.5 millimeters for the S size, the Czapek & Cie. Antactique is so slim that it can be worn comfortably under a shirt in everyday life. 

At the heart of the series are the in-house automatic calibers SXH5 and SHX7, which are visible through the transparent case back. This movement not only impresses with a micro-rotor made of recycled platinum but also convinces technically with a power reserve of up to 60 hours. In addition, the models are water-resistant to 120 meters, making them ideal companions for sporting activities. 

The collection includes various designs in classic stainless steel, rose gold, or yellow gold. The latter is a particularly popular choice, as its color alludes to another aspect of Antarctic history—more specifically, the gold deposits of Mount Erebus volcano, which spews fine gold dust and gives the gold models their name.
