Type 5

The design of the TYPE 5 models is clear, functional and modern. The case is very distinctively flattened at the sides and is reminiscent of the TYPE 2 collection, but with its own design highlights such as the significantly wider lugs and the alternation of satin-finished and polished surfaces. The oil-filled display not only ensures optimum readability under water but also eliminates any light refraction. This creates the unique display-like look for which the Ressence brand is known. An additional, rotating outer ring serves as a dive time scale.  

The TYPE 5 watches are water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters and thus comply with the ISO 6425 standard required for underwater expeditions. The use of oil also serves as a protective mechanism, preventing deformation of the case due to the pressure difference under water. The patented ROCS-5 module is driven by the minute axis of a specially adapted self-winding caliber and has functions such as a second hand, minutes, hours and oil temperature. The engraved displays are filled with green Super-LumiNova® for optimum legibility in the dark. 

The versions are available in polished titanium or with a matt DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating and are combined with leather straps in classic colors such as black or navy blue. Some models are also equipped with a robust nylon strap, which gives the timepiece an even sportier look.
