Time Machine

The eye-catching feature of the L'Epée 1839 Time Machine is the rotating mineral glass capsule—a gentle push is enough to set it spinning horizontally, encouraging viewers to reflect on the passage of time. The rotation can be stopped using a lever under the glass construction. Finely polished and satin-finished surfaces complete the modern yet elegant design of the Time Machine by L'Epée 1839. 

Inside the futuristic-looking device, time literally turns: hours and minutes are displayed on shiny discs that rotate to show the current time. The open, skeletonized design also reveals the intricate mechanics with gears, barrels, and the oscillating system. This is part of a precise hand-wound movement manufactured by L'Epée 1839 in its own factory. The Time Machine is adjusted using the turbine-like propellers at both ends of the capsule: the left one sets the time, while the right one winds the movement. With a power reserve of eight days, the clock also stands out for its technical sophistication, which complements its unusual aesthetics.
