Löbner came up with the idea for the Steelracer Rocketman Edition 50, which is strictly limited to 50 pieces worldwide, based on the world's first rocket vehicle program of the 1920s by automotive pioneer Fritz von Opel.

About the Rocketman Collection

In 1928, his record-breaking drive in the RAK2 rocket car marked the beginning of the rocket age. In the same year, the RAK3 rail vehicle reached a record speed of 256 kilometers per hour. The timekeeper was the Löbner company. The Steelracer Rocketman Edition 50 from Löbner honors this world record with a black automatic chronograph that combines futuristic design with technical sophistication in a PVD-coated stainless steel case and rubber strap. A gold-colored hallmark on the bezel at the level of the patented Sledge slider commemorates Fritz von Opel's speed record. Blued hands contrast with the gold-colored inlay on the tachymeter bezel and lend the minimalist dials a timeless yet modern charm. Like all Steelracer timepieces, the Rocketman displays the time on the complication developed by Löbner—a decentralized time display with a small seconds dial.
