Lenny Kravitz x Jaeger-LeCoultre
Jaeger-LeCoultre is delighted to name Lenny Kravitz as a new Ambassador for the Maison. One of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, the singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, designer and photographer is the archetype of the modern Renaissance man.
The iconic 1968 Memovox Polaris, the first diving watch with an alarm system has inspired the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection, designed to accompany the urban adventurer in all circumstances. The timepieces exude sporting finesse and the signature elegance of the Grande Maison, housing calibres modernised and updated from the original calibre that has been in production for more than 60 years. The date, alarm, chronograph and World Time pieces are all equipped with the necessary functions for today's modern man and his travels and still hold the accuracy, robustness and reliability of the 1968 icon.
When the Reverso turns to allow room for another dial driven by the same movement, it offers a new face to its wearer. The Reverso Classic Small Duetto pink gold watch with its delicate proportions is a little gem, day and night.
The Master collection by Jaeger‑LeCoultre frees itself of accessories to focus on the essential. It shows itself just the way it is. Grandly elegant. Recognizable because of its sleek design, the Master collection is available in three ranges: the Master Grande Tradition, the Master Ultra Thin and the Master Control. Though each watch has its own features and complications, what they all have in common is their rounded shape and the finesse of their details. Purity, and nothing else.
You have to study it closely to discover its treasures: its automatic movement, where the sapphire bottom reveals the complexity of the machinery; the delicacy of its finishing touches; its face which is finely-engraved or covered in mother-of-pearl; the shine of its precious stones. Graceful from every angle, this collection is the union between the aesthetic and the mechanical. An ode to beauty that underscores the female wrist whether by day or at night. Contrary to popular belief, the first wristwatches were worn by women. Always on the cutting edge, Jaeger‑LeCoultre was one of the first to offer women elegant watches, completely set with diamonds and with exceptionally small calibers.
“Over the years Jaeger-LeCoultre have produced eye-wateringly exquisite timepieces, a noticeable feat includes inventing the smallest mechanical movement ever made in 1929. ”,
Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of very few watchmaking companies to have produced all of its movements in-house for the entirety of their history. The company was originally founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre who had a desire to manufacture high quality mechanical watches.
Jaeger-LeCoultre has mastered many of the toughest complications including creating the world’s thinnest movement at just 1.38mm. The ultra-thin movements have been critical in creating some of their best loved collections including the Reverso, which essentially offers two watches for one.
