Audemars Piguet has produced many world firsts - amongst them, the first steel high-end sports watch known as the Royal Oak in 1972, and the first oversized watch, the Royal Oak Offshore in 1993.
AUDEMARS PIGUET HERITAGE
Audemars Piguet is known as one of the four ‘Old Ladies’ of Haute Horlogorie and began life in 1875, when Jules-Louis Audemars met Edward-Auguste Piguet in the town of Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux region of Switzerland.
Together, they founded ‘Audemars, Piguet et Cie’ and the firm has remained under the control of the same two families ever since. Like their founders, Audemars Piguet have continued to surpass technical boundaries throughout the years. Their watches are designed with a creativity & freedom truly reflective of the brand's unique independence.
