Bucherer Gallery Zurich
A meeting point for watch aficionadosA gallery for all the senses
The second floor of the flagship store on the renowned Bahnhofstrasse has been completely redesigned to accommodate the new Bucherer Gallery in Zurich. With the expansion of the Bucherer Gallery, the 160 m2 space was expanded to host not only the Bucherer Certified Pre-Owned watches but also the world’s first BLUE Space within a flagship store. Zurich is the only location that has all models of the Bucherer BLUE collection. And that is just the start. The Zurich Bucherer Gallery provides a further, important point of appeal for lovers of exclusive timepieces thanks to its skilful presentation of the fascination for haute horlogerie. Furthermore, curated events offer a completely new perspective on the Bucherer universe.
Drop by and be inspired. The relaxed lounge atmosphere and our well-stocked, round bar make this an ideal place to spend some time. During the first few weeks after the launch in June, our guests will be treated to small surprises and live music at the weekends. Coffee will be served at the bar in the mornings and cocktails mixed in the afternoons – and all the while you can enjoy the unique view of the busy Bahnhofstrasse.
Highlights that make the heart of watch fans skip a beat
Bucherer Certified Pre-Owned is a unique opportunity for every watch-lover to get their hands on rare models or limited editions that are no longer available anywhere else. The curated selection of our exquisite vintage watches is now getting its own very special platform. Every watch is authenticated, inspected and certified by the Bucherer experts. The extended Certified Pre-Owned range featuring rare collector’s items is simply waiting to be discovered. There is a very special opportunity for Rolex fans here: the Bucherer Gallery Zurich has not just one but two of the much-coveted Cosmograph Daytona models.
The predecessor to today’s Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is the Pre-Daytona 6238, of which probably only 2,000 to 3,000 models were manufactured. In those days, the tachymeter scale was still positioned on the dial, inside the watch, and not on the bezel as it is today. This gives the 6238 a somewhat more classical and elegant feel. There is also the 6239 model – which has evolved from a slow seller at the end of the 1960s into today’s most sought-after vintage Rolex. The Bucherer Gallery in Zurich also features a masterpiece of watchmaking history for football fans: the Omega Seamaster Soccer Timer was developed for the referees at the 1970 World Cup in Mexico so that they could time the 45-minute halves. The 145.019 with the rotating “Roulette” bezel is the ultimate collector’s item.
