Developed over 5 years under the code name “Operation Eternity” by IWC’s former Master Watchmaker Kurt Klaus in the middle of the Quartz Crisis in the 70’s, the IWC Perpetual Calendar’s high-precision moon phase display only needs to be adjusted by 1 day every 577.5 years. Taking into consideration the leap years, this Masterpiece is mechanically programmed to the year 2499. All its displays are perfectly synchronised and can be adjusted simply by turning the crown. An icon in the history of fine watchmaking.
