Every detail of an Armin Strom watch is hand-finished: 97% of the movement’s components are developed, produced, and refined in-house in Biel/Bienne. Each piece is made entirely in-house—a tribute to Swiss watchmaking tradition, brought to life by a dedicated team of engineers and artisans. Founded in 1967 by master hand-skeletonizer Armin Strom himself, the brand has long stood for artisanal perfection and a spirit of innovation. With his passion for exposing and decorating the finest movement details, Strom set a new benchmark in the world of high-end watchmaking. 

But a new chapter began in 2006, when watchmaker Claude Greisler and entrepreneur Serge Michel took over the brand—determined to carry its legacy into the future. In 2009, they opened their own manufacture in the watchmaking city of Biel/Bienne—a major milestone. Just one year later, they unveiled their first fully in-house developed movement, making a bold statement of independence and technical mastery.

Greisler and Michel’s vision has proven itself with remarkable success. With 17 proprietary calibres —including groundbreaking models like the 2019 Gravity Equal Force, the first to apply resonance for maximum precision, and the 2021 Resonance Zeitgeist, the first automatic watch with constant force transmission—Armin Strom today is among the most innovative independent manufactures in the world.
