Laurent Ferrier

Laurent Ferrier was born on December 19, 1946, in Geneva, Switzerland, into a family of watchmakers. His father worked on highly complex watches in a workshop directly below the family home. This gave Laurent early access to exceptional timepieces. After graduating from the École d'Horlogerie de Genève in 1968, he joined one of Geneva's most important manufacturers and gained experience in the creation of prototypes and the development and design of watch cases.  

Parallel to his watchmaking career, Ferrier had a passion for motorsports. In 1979, he participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans together with François Servanin, where they finished in third place. This shared experience cemented their friendship and laid the foundation for the later founding of the Laurent Ferrier brand in 2009.  

Since its inception, the Maison has made a name for itself with timeless designs, outstanding finishes, and mechanical innovations. The brand has received multiple awards from the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) and has cemented its reputation among the world's most discerning watch enthusiasts. 

Today, Laurent Ferrier and his son Christian work together in the creative department, while François Servanin continues to serve as president. The Laurent Ferrier brand remains true to its philosophy of creating classic and timeless watches of the highest quality.
