Hublot was founded in Geneva in 1980 by Italian Carlo Crocco and caused a sensation with its very first watch. Simply called The Hublot, this watch presented a completely new concept by combining a luxurious gold case with a sporty rubber strap for the first time—an absolute novelty at the time. Crocco thus established the basis for Hublot's "art of fusion" concept, which is still valid today and harmoniously combines different materials and style elements. 

A decisive turning point came in 2004 with Jean-Claude Biver, who initiated the reorientation of the brand as CEO and launched the Hublot Big Bang in 2005. This collection redefined the brand's identity: eye-catching cases, innovative combinations of ceramic, carbon, and precious metals, and a striking appearance quickly made the Big Bang an icon. Since 2008, Hublot has been part of the luxury group LVMH, which has enabled global growth and the development of its own in-house movements, such as the famous Unico chronograph movement. The Maison has also made a name for itself through prominent collaborations—for example with Ferrari, FIFA, and artists such as Maxime Plescia-Büchi (better known as Sang Bleu). Today, Hublot watches stand for avant-garde watchmaking, innovation in the use of materials, and a design that always remains true to the principle of the "art of fusion."
