Tourbillon

In a mechanical watch the main cause of variance in time is the effect of gravity on the movement when the watch is placed in different positions. In 1801 Breguet created the Tourbillon to negate this, thereby creating the world's most accurate watch complication. The movement is mounted in a small revolving cage that makes one rotation per minute, giving you an constant average time. These are rare, complex, accurate, and expensive collector's pieces.
