PANERAI AND BUCHERER BLUE RELEASE NEW LIMITED EDITION LUMINOR GMT

A new chapter has now been added to the success story of exceptional timepieces launched by Bucherer BLUE and Panerai with the Panerai Luminor GMT Bucherer BLUE. This watch is not only a homage to a historic collaboration spanning more than two decades; this joint creation is a tribute to the 70th anniversary of a true Panerai icon, the Luminor. To celebrate the historic milestone, this special collaboration debuts an exceptional first in the history of Panerai: the Super- LumiNova® coating in an electric blue colour that radiates in the dark.

The exclusive Bucherer BLUE touch is also included in various subtle details on the timepiece. The small seconds hand, the GMT hand and the stitching on the strap have all been accentuated in electric blue. The rubberized blue crown, a Bucherer BLUE unique feature, is a highlight in itself, wonderfully showcasing Panerai’s Italian design heritage. Limited to 288 pieces, the watch features a numbered case back for an additional touch of exclusivity to the durable and functional timepiece. Lovers of Panerai sports watches who lead an active lifestyle also have the option to switch to the hard-wearing caoutchouc strap, which they can change with the included Panerai strap-changing tool.

COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

Panerai has strong associations with the colour blue, which reflects its maritime heritage and the timepieces the company has created for different types of marine activities. To honour and maintain this legacy, Panerai’s Ecologico label has developed new, environmentally friendly products including both Panerai Luminor GMT Bucherer BLUE straps. Made from recycled PET bottles and a recycled ABS packaging shell, these innovative materials underline the Maison’s commitment to sustainability.
