JAEGER-LECOULTRE CELEBRATES CINEMA AT THE 2019 VENICE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Reaching a 15 year milestone of partnering with the Venice International Film Festival, Jaeger-LeCoultre celebrated its anniversary in the magical city by hosting an intimate dinner on the Granai di Cipriani. Hosted by Catherine Rénier, Chief Executive Officer of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the enchanting evening was joined by Friends of the Maison Nicholas Hoult, Amanda Seyfried, Ni Ni and Italian actress Alessandra Mastronardi. Guests from around the world attended to pay tribute to great cinema and honour the art of time, all while surrounded by sea and sky on the island of Guidecca. With stunning views spanning the Lagoon to Piazza San Marco, the fairytale location perfectly expressed the Celestial theme chosen by the Swiss Maison this year.
During the film festival, the esteemed Greek-French film director Costa-Gavras was presented with the 2019 Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award of the Venice International Film Festival. Conceived in 2007 by Jaeger-LeCoultre in partnership with La Viennale di Venezia, the Glory to the Filmmaker Award honours an individual who has substantial impact on the evolution of contemporary cinema.
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s participation in the 76th annual festival demonstrates its long-standing passion for the art of filmmaking and world of cinema. Through its partnership with the Venice International Film Festival, the Grand Maison is proud to continue contributing to the appreciation and advancement of the cinematic arts.
