An aviation icon

The IWC Schaffhausen Big Pilot’s Watch emerged from considerations of practicality. As an observation watch, the pioneers of aviation used it for navigation. Thus the design requirements were suitably straightforward: three bright hands on a dark dial with a minutes scale in a large, easy-to-read case, plus a triangular index at 12 o’clock. IWC Schaffhausen introduced the iconic large crown so that the watch could also be handled with aviator gloves. Consequently, to this day, the Big Pilot’s Watch continues to stand for modern adventures and the pioneering spirit of days gone by like no other pilot’s watch. Exclusively for Bucherer, the legendary Big Pilot’s Watch also gleams with an extraordinary look: neon blue indices and hands, as well as a big date at 12 o’clock, infuse the Big Pilot’s Watch Big Date Bucherer BLUE with a contemporary modern style for the pioneers of tomorrow.

Ready for any adventure

Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2021, IWC Schaffhausen introduced a number of new models from the legendary Pilot’s collection – including a chronograph in a new and sleeker size of 41 mm. Two new dial designs in blue and green are the most striking feature. Iconic colours that pay tribute to the golden age of aviation. Models that impress with style and practicality on the wrist – both in first class and in the cockpit. IWC Schaffhausen has also introduced a new quick-change system for bracelets for a swift change of style. A new bracelet can be attached in seconds via a push-button-hook system on the underside.
