A new attire for a classic
One of IWC Schaffhausen’s most successful collections, the refined Portofino watches are famed for their freshness and the pure lines of their elegant design. It is due to their timeless design, which can be paired with both a casual or an elegant outfit, that the watches enjoy great popularity. This year sees an update to the classic Portofino in numerous details, including exciting colours, new straps and traceable materials – for timepieces that are meant to last.
Portofino Chronograph 39
Heralding the new Portofino models, IWC Schaffhausen launched a worldwide campaign with Brazilian supermodel and environmentalist Gisele Bündchen, who took on her role as IWC’s first-ever Environmental and Community Projects Advisor, underscoring the manufacturer’s sustainability efforts. Prominently featured in the campaign is the new Portofino Chronograph 39, combining a classic design with a sporty chronograph complication.
Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34
The Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 is the first 34-millimetre Portofino with a poetic day & night complication. The rotating disc at 6 o’clock indicates whether it is currently day or night, with the sun or the moon appearing in the upper area of the display. The colour of the celestial bodies is a continuation of shades of the hands and appliques.
Portofino Automatic 34
The Portofino Automatic 34, modelled after the Portofino ladies’ watches from the 1980s and with a reduced case diameter, presents the perfect option for slender wrists. The casual, yet delicately elegant timepiece, has been reworked and is now available in six new versions. Among the enhancements are larger diamonds and improved setting for the models featuring diamond-set bezels.
New Portofino Models in 37 Millimeters
New to the Portofino line are nine enhanced models with a case diameter of 37 millimeter. All of which are equipped with IWC-manufactured movements from the 32000 calibre family, elaborately finished with blued screws and gold-plated rotors that can be admired through their sapphire glass case backs.
