timeless and exquisite

The Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Bucherer BLUE is the first model by Blancpain available almost entirely covered in a royal, timeless and extremely elegant shade of blue. This special edition, with its satin-polished hour ring and Bucherer engraving on the rotor, boasts all of the technical features that have established this diver’s watch as a flagship timepiece since the 1950s. The one minor difference is that its blue casing was created to grace wrists in the year 2018. This makes it an excellent addition to the Bucherer BLUE collection as the latest, exquisite model to honour the long-standing collaboration between Blancpain and Bucherer.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Bucherer BLUE

The Bathyscaphe was developed by Blancpain in 1956 as a diver’s watch whose technical features and elegant appearance would provide a civilian version of a military diver’s watch – smaller in size, yet suitable for use in all conditions. This special edition created for Bucherer is clad almost entirely in blue ceramic. The unidirectional rotating bezel is made of satin-polished ceramic, while the rotor is crafted in 18K gold. The water-resistant push buttons and the chronograph function can also be operated underwater to depths of 300 metres without any risk of damaging the watch.
