Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE

Featuring diamonds, gold-plated screws, safes that are integrated into the tank and contain a one-of-a-kind watch by Carl F. Bucherer and rings from Bucherer Fine Jewellery, the Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE is a special member of the Bucherer BLUE family, and, at CHF 1.888 million, the most expensive motorcycle in the world.

Bucherer presents the Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE, the most expensive motorcycle in the world.

A unique motorcycle

The Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE is a custom motorbike par excellence. Taking over 2,500 hours to produce, this unique motorcycle was developed by Bucherer in collaboration with the Swiss custom Harley-Davidson workshop Bündnerbike.

The Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE glows in an intense blue hue.

Extraordinary craftsmanship and a surprising interior

The bike experts from Bündnerbike employed a secret coating method to achieve the Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE’s intense, iridescent blue hue. Every metal element found on this one-of-a-kind machine has been produced, welded, beaten, ground and polished by hand. The Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE is the world’s first motorcycle to feature a motor that is lit up from the inside. The rotating camshaft is visible through a window, as are the valve control and the gold-plated throttle valves. Heat-proof LED lamps illuminate the scenery on display.

A custom bike coupled with the art of fine watchmaking

The Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE combines custom bike design with the art of fine watchmaking of the very highest level. Never before has a manufacture watch been built into a motorcycle. The watch from Carl F. Bucherer is integrated into a safe on the right-hand side of the tank. The dial on this unique piece is decorated with elements of a motorbike engine.
“To ensure that the vibrations of the engine do not damage the mechanical movement, we have housed the watch in a kind of cage with an elaborate holder made from silicone rings,” explains Samir Merdanovic, Head of Manufacture Movements at Carl F. Bucherer. “The watch holder doubles as a winder, meaning that the watch stays wound and running even when the bike is in the garage.”

The pinnacle of jewellery-making in a motorbike – this is yet another feature that makes the Harley-Davidson Bucherer BLUE unique. For example, Bündnerbike adapted the Dizzler rotating ring from the Bucherer Fine Jewellery collection to fit the bike’s handlebars. “This was a real technical challenge,” says Managing Director Jürg Ludwig Jr. “To ensure that the rings really do stay in place, a special method that guarantees absolutely secure fixation was employed. How it works will remain a secret of the Bündnerbike workshop.”
