In many respects, the newly created collection exemplifies the Carl F. Bucherer brand – CFB – as well as the values that have been upheld and practised since 1888: always in the thick of things and with a finger on the pulse of the times, with watches that capture the current zeitgeist but are always geared towards the future. As such, the Capsule Collection also marks the arrival of a new era for CFB.
MANERO TOURBILLON DOUBLE PERIPHERAL BLACK
For many watch fans, the Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral Black with COSC-certified chronometer, limited to 30 pieces, will be the flagship of the collection. The CFB T3000 in-house movement, whose impressive (bridgeless) tourbillon appears to float prominently at the 12 o’clock position on the dial, reliably powers the watch for 65 hours after it is fully wound. Matching the forged carbon case with titanium core (or container) is the hybrid rubber strap with carbon texture. On the whole, this watch is a true masterpiece: striking, innovative and technically outstanding – inside and out.
MANERO PERIPHERAL PERPETUAL CALENDAR BLACK
The Manero Peripheral Perpetual Calendar Black with COSC-certified chronometer, limited to 88 pieces, also knows how to impress. Inside the forged carbon case with the titanium container is the CFB A2055 in-house movement with perpetual calendar and moon-phase display, whose disc is made of aventurine set with two small hand-engraved moons in white gold. The watch always shows the correct day – even in leap years. (A minor adjustment will be necessary in 2100.)
MANERO PERIPHERAL BIGDATE BLACK
The third watch in forged carbon with a titanium container (or core) is the Manero Peripheral BigDate Black with COSC-certified chronometer, limited to 188 pieces. It is powered by the CFB A2011 in-house movement and owes its name to the large, eye-catching date window at 11 o’clock. A display of the day of the week as well as small-seconds subdials and a power reserve complete the dial and provide a considerable amount of information at a glance.
HERITAGE BICOMPAX ANNUAL BLACK
The Heritage BiCompax Annual Black – an unlimited edition – re-interprets another CFB favourite for the CFB Capsule Collection. Its stainless-steel case with DLC coating features deep black, alternating polished and brushed overtones. The dial has a large date display as well as two chronograph displays, and the CFB 1972 calibre comes with an annual calendar that only requires the date to be adjusted once a year.
MANERO FLYBACK BLACK
The Manero Flyback Black is the CFB Capsule Collection version of one of Carl F. Bucherer’s most popular watches, which is not least due to the chronograph’s built-in flyback function. This allows current timekeeping to be stopped, reset and started again from the beginning with just one click of the push button – a mechanism that usually takes three clicks to accomplish. The Manero Flyback Black has a striking deep black case, with high-impact polished and brushed overtones.
