CONTEMPORARY CLASSICS

Mechanical timepieces with retro designs have long enjoyed cult status. Design fans and vintage lovers are bound to swoon over this new model from Carl F. Bucherer. The Heritage BiCompax Annual is a contemporary classic, offering the latest mechanics with a charming retro twist. The simple, elegant design of this new watch was inspired by its predecessors from the 1950s.

The features of the Heritage BiCompax Annual are a throwback to a glamorous era: a pink champagne-coloured dial, a gleaming bezel and a crown and push button in rose gold. A cognac brown calf leather strap adds a final finishing touch to this elegant watch.

A special edition limited to just 888 pieces, this timepiece by Carl F. Bucherer features a big date display, annual calendar and trademark bicompax layout.

A UNIQUE VINTAGE AESTHETIC MEETS THE LATEST IN MODERN TECHNOLOGY

One defining trend from Baselworld 2019 is the retro look. In line with the current craze for all things vintage, Tudor has released the new Black Bay P01 as a reinterpreted heritage piece.

Here a unique vintage aesthetic combines with the latest in modern technology: the new Tudor Black Bay P01 was inspired by a prototype from the 1950s that was developed as part of a study and remained forgotten in the company’s archives – until now. A story with a happy ending: fifty years after it was first created, the prototype received a new lease on life in the shape of the Tudor Black Bay P01, marking the first time this watch has actually gone into production. The perfect blend of a diving and maritime watch, the Black Bay P01 delights with its modern retro design and contemporary sporty charm.

FOR A NEW GENERATION OF EXPLORERS ...

... TAG Heuer offers this innovative new timepiece. The Autavia, originally developed for use in motorsport and aviation, is now shining with new splendour.

Inspired by the original Autavia models, the innovative technology of this new piece is bound to captivate a new generation of adventurers.

The name Autavia, derived from a combination of automobile and aviation, reflects the bold adventurous spirit of this contemporary wristwatch.

The heart of the watch – the balance spring – is anti-magnetic, shock-resistant and patented by TAG Heuer. The carbon composite balance spring reveals TAG Heuer’s avant-garde watchmaking craftsmanship and reflects a skilful blend of tradition and technology.

COLOURFUL SPECTACLE

A BOLD RED STRAP PUTS A NEW TWIST ON THE ORIS AQUIS DATE

THIS BASELWORLD NOVELTY IS ALL ABOUT SHOWING YOUR TRUE COLOURS

The Oris Aquis Date features a bright red rubber strap that cuts a refreshingly dynamic figure on the wrist. A reinterpretation of the iconic diver’s watch, the Aquis Date is as useful underwater as it is casually elegant on land.

The Oris Aquis Date Relief is not just a powerful diver’s watch but also supports a good cause. The model is the result of a new partnership with open-water swimmer and water ambassador Ernst Bromeis. It was inspired by Oris’ commitment to raising awareness about the global importance of water. This commitment is reflected in the sophisticated design elements: the dial is a nod to the colour of a stormy sea, and the bezel is characterised by a relief-inspired minute scale.
