The diamonds used for the 1888 solitaire ring are extremely rare: of the world’s entire annual diamond production, perhaps a champagne glass full of stones meets the stringent quality criteria for an 1888 solitaire. The quality of this singular brilliant diamond is first- rate and effortlessly meets all of the four C’s (cut, color, clarity, and carat weight) quality criteria with the highest classifications. The stone is guaranteed flawless or internally flawless and holds one of the three highest color grades (D, E, or F). The three qualities that determine the brilliant cut’s sparkle and fire – crown and pavilion angles, polish and symmetry – are all “triple excellent” standard. The 1888 is available in sizes over one carat, in other words 6.5 millimeters in diameter upward. All the quality grades relating to the diamond are checked by our buyers and confirmed with an international certificate.
