A scintillating beauty
The latest generation of Lacrima by Bucherer: an expression of all of life’s joys.
If an Italian piazza is the embodiment of the dolce vita, the pear – or drop – cut is once again a source of inspiration for the creation of precious gems of timeless beauty. The teardrop as the mirror of our emotions re-emerges as the much-feted leading actress in the latest Lacrima collection: from a simple pear-cut pendant in precious white or pink gold to a magnificent deluxe piece that basks in the light of a myriad diamonds.
Fine jewelry-making has a long and revered tradition at Bucherer. The goldsmiths, designers and gemstone setters in the company’s own workshops master the complex art of uniting beauty and exclusiveness into jewelry of sublime elegance and opulent sensuality. The diamonds are selected and cut specially for the Lacrima jewelry line.
A kaleidoscope of color
They are small, rare, and very valuable. And in tones ranging from turquoise-blue to purple, a universal source of enchantment: Paraiba tourmalines.
These scintillating gemstones owe their magnificent range of color to the presence of copper, which conjures up a myriad sparkling nuances from bluish-green to violet. For all that, Paraiba tourmalines remain a precious rarity. The original site of their discovery, in Brazil, is exhausted. Tourmalines containing copper and of similar quality were only discovered after extensive prospecting in Mozambique. Thanks to its excellent contacts with reputable traders, Bucherer has been able to assemble a 13-part set consisting of high-carat Paraiba tourmalines. Drawing on all their passion and expertise, the jewelry-makers in our Lucerne workshops have transformed them into a unique piece of exquisite rarity.
Residenz zum Verweilen
Two major watch brands come together under one roof in Munich’s ritziest shopping district.
The Bucherer Rolex | Patek Philippe Boutique at Residenzstrasse 11, newly opened in early November, stocks an exclusive range of Rolex and Patek Philippe timepieces.
A trophy for motor racing fans
Now for the first time in platinum: the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona.
Rolex presents a magnificent reinterpretation of its legendary Cosmograph Daytona in solid 950 platinum, the noblest of precious metals. Now, as when it was launched in 1963, the robust and very legible chronograph attracts admiring glances on and off the racetrack. Its most striking feature is a chestnut brown monobloc Cerachrom bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale offering a striking contrast to the ice blue dial. The Cosmograph Daytona is equipped with calibre 4130, a mechanical COSC-certified chronograph movement with column wheel and self-winding system.
A paragon of discretion, the Portofino from IWC with big date display marks Bucherer’s 125th jubilee. This elegant, unassuming beauty of a timepiece in rose gold is limited to 125 watches.
The Portofino Big Date from IWC in 18 K rose gold with glass back and hand-wound movement is classy without being over-conspicuous. Large, conical hands move gracefully across an elegant white dial that acts as a discreet backdrop to other elements, such as the seconds subdial and eight-day power reserve display. They provide needle-sharp clarity and a pleasing contrast to the flowing numerals in the large date display window.
The jubilee edition of the Portofino is limited to 125 watches and available exclusively from Bucherer.
The magic of Fellini
Chopard focuses firmly on femininity: “La Strada” is a poetic tribute to the immortality of Federico Fellini’s films.
Federico Fellini, the grand old master of Italian cinema, also inspired a collection that exudes voluptuous elegance. The “La Strada” watches reflect the magical interplay of light and shadow characteristic of his black-and-white films, 1950s glamour and the charm and grace of the disarmingly fragile Giulietta Masina. Other leading players include the eternal power of love and femininity. Generously proportioned curves and contours determine the design. The clean lines of the case reference the graphical symmetry of filmstrips and the diamond-like arrangement of the sampietrini, the typical beveled cobblestones found at the center of Rome.
Girard-Perregaux’s Constant Escapement revolutionizes the concept of timekeeping. It provides the movement with power at a constant level.
After five years of research and development, Girard-Perregaux has made the breakthrough to a new era in chronometry. The interposition of an additional element in the escapement facilitates the supply of energy at a constant level to the balance and counteracts fluctuations in amplitude. The balance takes the shape of a wafer-thin strip of silicon. It is the beating heart of the ultracomplex movement to which Girard-Perregaux dedicates its latest watch line: the Haute Horlogerie Constant Escapement Collection. An antireflective sapphire glass back provides an unimpeded view of the trailblazing movement design in its 48-millimeter white gold case. Available from Bucherer in Switzerland and France.
Piaget’s Limelight Gala replaces the linear nature of time with contours and femininity. Brilliant, pulsating and seductive.
A new icon from the House of Piaget and a tribute to the Swinging Sixties, when Piaget created breathtaking jewelry watches for the beautiful and elegant people. The Limelight Gala is a reinterpretation of glamorous voluptuousness, boasting an incomparable combination of sensuous contours and sparkling gemstones. The exquisite dial takes the form of two elongated brackets for the bracelet and is set with countless diamonds. The black Roman numerals and the sophisticated satin wristband underscore the classic inspiration for an unequivocally feminine timepiece. Available with a quartz movement and in several versions.

Views of Bucherer Paris
The elegant building on the corner of Boulevard des Capucines is classified as a monument historique and is one of the landmarks of the Opéra district. In close cooperation with the Service Territorial de l’Architecture and the Patrimoine de Paris as well as highly specialized craftsmen, the historic wooden façade was restored by hand in a long and complex process that has preserved the unmistakable building’s heritage. The interior features top-quality materials, all superbly finished. Floors and walls made of pale botticino marble strike up a dialog with elements made of bronze-plated brass. In Bucherer’s jewelry corners, customers are received in a salon-like environment. Textile-lined walls, beautifully fashioned displays and veneered furniture designed especially for Bucherer set off the superb diamond creations to their best advantage. Thanks to its business connections, some of which have existed and been cultivated for many years, the House of Bucherer has been able to work with selected watch and jewelry brands to develop an unusual shop-in-shop concept. On three floors at Bucherer Paris, customers will find a unique selection of well-known brands from the worlds of watches and jewelry as well as fabulous diamond pieces from the House of Bucherer.
The lighting installation created by artist Valeria Nascimento rounds off the interior design concept. Delicate petals, handmade from naturally coloured ceramic, generate a fascinating interplay with the many tiny lighting elements. The cloud of blossoms thus created radiates a warm light and underscores the store’s elegant ambience.
